Architects Wold Architects and Engineers
Contract $800,000
“I was the principle in charge of the above project. In this capacity I was "hands on" involved in the project. This large and comprehensive project was a top down renovation and restoration of a premiere example of 1933 high rise art deco architecture. A significant and endearing feature of this building was the restoration of the 25 different species of exotic wood paneling and detailing. The wood restoration work was expertly investigated, analyzed, proposed and completed by Mr. Scott Beddome of Woodwork Restoration. By all owners, architects and citizenry the woodwork restoration was considered a complete and wonderful success!” - Architect Michael Cox, Wold Architects
Worked with architects in advance of contract for spec writing/process details. Spent one month surveying, documenting and writing scope and wood salvage for re-use spec for each room of 24 story building consisting of 400,000 sq ft of wood floor to ceiling veneer wall paneling featuring 40 different types of veneers.
Held contract for all veneer repairs, rinsing existing finishes while retaining existing stains and patinas (per Dept of Interior Stds) and finish restoration work on wall paneling, doors, trim, windows, etc.
Consulted/executed on fabrication of new infill wood materials and finishes to match properly restored existing.
